They will be able to open pub gardens from this date before opening fully in May as part of the roadmap out of the Covid-19 lockdown.

  • Cabbage Patch
  • Prince Albert
  • Prince Blucher
  • Turk's Head

Greene King pubs opening on April 12:

  • Barmy Arms

Young's pubs opening on April 12:

  • Alexander Pope
  • The Crown

Greene King chief executive Nick Mackenzie said: "It's great that we can finally open outdoor areas in some of our pubs after such a long period of lockdown and we can't wait to start welcoming our customers back, safely."

In England the earliest dates for hospitality reopening are:

  • April 12: Restaurants and pub gardens will be allowed to serve customers sitting outdoors - including alcohol; customers can meet in a group of up to six people from different households; a maximum of two households can meet to form a group of any size
  • May 17: Hospitality venues can seat customers indoors; parties can be made up of a maximum of six people or two households of any size; groups seated outside must be smaller than 30 people
  • June 21: All restrictions will be lifted, and nightclubs will be allowed to re-open.
