Some 34 local restaurants, offering the best of everything from the Mediterranean to the Far East and India, will have samples to try.

While locally brewed craft beer and other non-alcoholic options will also be available.

Alongside the event there will be Out of the Deep Blue performances from 11am featuring the 13ft Giant Sea Giant Puppet, Eko.

The Taste of Twickenham event, which is being organised by Lauri Riviera of the Taste Of Twickenham CIC in partnership with Discover Twickenham BID, Richmond Arts & Ideas Festival and the Council, also offers pavement performances and much more at 11 pop up venues.

There is the Daytime/Nightclub at The George; Hot Pizza and Cool Jazz at Locanda Luna.

Young bands from The Basement Door project will feature on the 'Future of Music Stage' courtesy of Mazda, while there will be Queenie Karaoke at Panas; Token Man Comedy at The Fox; and Be Well in the Diamond Jubilee Gardens courtesy of the Twickenham Riverside Trust.

And there's more with the Twickenham Diversity stage at Crown Paints; an Art and Reggae Party in Pocket Park with DJs RasLevi and Son; the Have a Go Go Dancing in the Streets Stage; and the Eel Pie Island Hotel's 60's Experience courtesy of The Eel Pie Island Museum.

York Street will be closed from London Road to Arragon Road between 8am and 7pm.
