AI brings £663 million ‘Twickenham Stadium Masterplan Programme’ to life for England Rugby fans
Following the recent announcement of the Rugby Football Union's proposal of a 'Twickenham Stadium Masterplan Programme', BonusCodeBets has worked with AI tool Midjourney to reveal what the proposed £663m revamp of Twickenham Stadium would look like.
The work would take place in 2027, in order to minimise disruption due to the absence of an autumn schedule at Twickenham in a World Cup year.
A 69-page document titled 'Twickenham Stadium Masterplan Programme', elements of which have been published in the media, suggests essential works could be completed for a cost in the region of £300 million.
The image above, which was told to recreate a revamped Twickenham in 2028 for a game between England and Ireland, does not show drastic changes to the current stadium.
The AI has showcased the famous West Stand as it meets the South, with the sun setting in the background on a late March day.
Beginning the overhaul between the 2027 and 2028 Six Nations would minimise disruption due to the absence of an autumn schedule at Twickenham in a World Cup year.
A spokesperson for BonusCodeBets said: "Whilst the RFU considered purchasing half of Wembley Stadium from the English last March, the AI has shown a glimpse into the possible future of English rugby which certainly looks bright.
"Twickenham is a beacon of northern hemisphere rugby as it rises majestically above the clouds on the very outskirts of south-west London.
"What this AI shows is that, even with the modest £300m refurbishments completed as opposed to more than half a billion, the stadium can remain masterful."
