Allianz Stadium has released feedback from its second consultation on its 'vision for the future' proposals.

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Allianz Stadium (formerly Twickenham Stadium) held the second phase of consultation in March 2025, focusing on plans to increase the number of non-sporting events hosted at the venue.

In its report, the RFU said it met with over 300 residents at public exhibitions and received input from 680 people via its online survey.

According to the RFU, key takeaways included:

  1. Positive feedback for the long-term aim of upgrading the stadium to become a global venue for sport and entertainment.
  2. Support in principle for hosting more non-sporting events, though concerns were raised around the need for effective management, particularly in relation to transport and anti-social behaviour.
  3. General support for local transport improvements, with recognition that more detailed work is required.
  4. Acknowledgement that the proposed community fund and local ticket access were welcomed, but a call for continued engagement with residents to ensure Allianz Stadium "remains a valued local asset".

Survey results showed that:

  • 56% of respondents strongly support the RFU's plans to increase non-sporting events at the stadium, with 17% somewhat supportive and 14% strongly opposed.
  • Among residents living within a 5–15-minute walk of the stadium, 46% strongly support the proposals, while 20% strongly oppose them.
  • 75% of survey respondents strongly support the RFU's plans to improve local transport infrastructure and crowd management, while only 5% strongly oppose those measures.

A final decision on the proposals could be made by September 2025, following the RFU's submission of planning applications.
