The borough's increasing ties with Hong Kong and the Chinese community will be marked in Twickenham on Saturday.
A performance of Lion Dancers will take place to mark the Chinese New Year and the beginning of the year of the rabbit.
The rabbit symbolises patience and luck while it is also said to bring hope that money will come much more effortlessly than before.
Just recently, it emerged that more than 500 children from Hong Kong have joined the borough's schools in recent years as families seek sanctuary in the UK.
Join the Lion Dancers as they parade from Twickenham Green at 1pm making their way along Heath Road to Church Street, visiting shops along the route and entertaining the crowds.
There will then be final Lion Dance performance at 2:45pm in Diamond Jubilee Gardens.
Separately, there will be a series of family activities in Diamond Jubilee Gardens from 1pm – 4pm, which will include lantern-making, calligraphy, a Chinese themed Punch & Judy show and a chance to meet the Lion and watch him perform.
Family activities are undercover in our Chinese themed gazebo provided by Twickenham Riverside Trust.
