Twickenham's much anticipated new Chipotle restaurant is to officially open its doors on Friday – April 21.

The company, which is famous for its burritos and tacos, is moving into the former Caffe Nero coffee shop on London Road, Twickenham.

The fast-casual restaurant has already begun a trial service for its food offering and was giving menu items free of charge to lucky passers-by this week.

While its grills will be fully fired up to cash on the crowds attending the Quins v Bath 'Big Summer Kick-off' at Twickenham on Saturday.

To celebrate the opening of the new branch guests will receive free guacamole with the purchase of their favourite salad, bowl, burrito, or order of tacos

Jacob Sumner, Director of European Operations for Chipotle said: "Given the rising popularity of Chipotle across London, our expansion in the area remains a top priority for our international strategy.

"This new location will increase the Twickenham community's access to real, fresh food."

Chipotle currently has 13 locations in London and is the only company of its size that owns and operates all of its restaurants globally.

Guests visiting the new location can order in-restaurant or place their orders via the Chipotle app for mobile pick-up, or place a delivery order through a third-party delivery service like Uber Eats, Just Eat, or Deliveroo.

Hungry Twickenham locals will also be able to experience the Chicken Al Pastor, Chipotle's first ever global new menu item launch.

The restaurant will be open from 11:00 am - 11:00 p.m. daily.
