Coming to a screen near you...Harlequins the movie on Amazon Prime

By Rory Poulter 8th Apr 2022

A compelling and revealing fly-on-the-wall type documentary about Harlequins rugby club is soon to be released on Amazon Prime, it has been announced.

The documentary is Amazon Prime's latest venture into the world of sports and looking behind the scenes in an in-depth way with the full co-operation of the club, the officials and the players.

The Quins documentary, called 'Prep To Win' was given unprecedented access into the rigorous pre-season training camp of the current Gallagher Premiership Champions.

Viewers will be taken into the inner sanctum of the dressing room, uncovering never-before-seen interactions between the players.

The gripping three-parter also features interviews with players including England's new star fly-half Marcus Smith, long serving scrum-half Danny Care, Louis Lynagh, Christian Scotland-Williamson, Jack Kenningham, James Chisholm, Lennox Anyanwu, Aaron Morris, Alex Dombrant, Stephen Lewies, Cassius Cleaves, Luke Wallace and Joe Marchant.

Creator and Director of the series, English Rugby Union player Beno Obano, comments: "I wanted to create a series where people could learn a little, laugh a little and connect with some of these amazing athletes. "The goal of the show is to produce a slightly different perspective on elite sport; a perspective that can only really come from an elite athlete; allowing audiences to gain a real insight into the demands of their job and their goals.'

The 3 x 40 min episode documentary was created and directed by Beno Obano, in partnership with Sinnybaby Media and Ben&Jack Studio.
