Welcome to the first day of Twickenham Nub News! We would like to introduce residents to your community lottery, Get Lucky Local, which helps raise money for local charities and good causes.

If you are personally involved in, or support a good cause anywhere in the borough, you can sign up as a beneficiary today.

This will mean lottery players can nominate your charity to support – a cause close to their hearts and close to their home.

60p in every £1 spent goes to a good cause with the rest on prize money and operating costs.

A total of 46 local groups have signed up since the first draw in November. If a community can sell just 50 tickets a week it means you are raising £1,300 a year as well as standing a chance of winning a cash prize which ranges from £25,000, to £2,000, £250, £25 and three free tickets.

Community groups like Hampton Hill Theatre and Teddington Cricket are already raising more than £2,000 a year by encouraging their supporters and members to play Get Lucky Local and eight others are raising £1,000 a year – much needed money as the pandemic limits fundraising activities and events.

Twickenham Nub News will keep you up to date with all the news about winners and local causes which are benefiting from the community lottery.

As an introductory offer we would like to offer TEN new Nub News readers the chance of winning a £10 Get Lucky Local gift voucher to spend when you like and also nominate the good cause you would like to benefit.

All you have to do is answer this simple question: Which sport do you link Twickenham with?

Email your answer to [email protected]
