Construction continues at the London Square Twickenham Green development following the demolition of the site,

In its latest June 2025 update, the developer reports progress on the former Greggs Bakery factory site, including the installation of foundations, substructure blockwork, and drainage systems.

London Square say brickwork is now underway, and road construction continues, with attenuation tanks being installed to support sustainable drainage.

In addition, scaffold mats have been put in place to support ongoing building works, and mortar silos are now on site to support the next phase of construction.

In light of the recent dry weather, London Square say additional dust suppression measures have also been introduced.

During the demolition process, the spread of dust was a major issue amongst local residents which the developer says it is working to control.

Current works on site include:

  • Continuing foundation installation
  • Ongoing substructure blockwork and drainage
  • Brickwork and scaffolding in progress
  • Continued road construction, with tarmacking scheduled for sections needed by construction traffic
  • Cleaning and internal preparation of 2 Gould Road

Planned works in July:

  • Block and beam flooring (precast concrete) installation will begin
  • First fix carpentry (including joist installation in traditional houses) is set to commence
  • Work will begin on the site's apartment blocks
  • Scaffolding and brickwork will continue throughout the site

London Square has confirmed that no road closures or late-night works are scheduled for the coming month.
