Cyclists invited to ride from Northampton to Twickenham for Harlequins Foundation fundraiser
By Nub News Reporter 11th May 2026
Cyclists are being invited to saddle up for a charity challenge between Northampton and Twickenham as the Harlequins Foundation's Rival Ride returns for 2026.
The annual fundraiser will take place across 5 and 6 June, with participants cycling from cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens, home of Northampton Saints, back to The Twickenham Stoop ahead of one of the club's biggest fixtures of the season.
Organised by the Harlequins Foundation, the two-day endurance ride raises money for projects supporting local communities across the area.
The event will once again see supporters riding alongside former Harlequins players, with regular riders Mark Lambert and Olly Kohn taking part alongside first-time participants George Robson, Will Skinner and James Johnson.
Former Saints prop Ethan Waller will also join the ride representing the Northampton side.
Ex-Harlequins player Olly Kohn said: "For me Rival Ride is a great chance to connect with some old faces. Some I've played rugby with, some I've had a beer at The Stoop with, and some I've struggled on a hill with during previous Rival Rides.
"Connecting with these people in this challenge is a great way to support our fantastic Foundation."
The foundation said the ride is designed to be accessible for cyclists of different abilities, with qualified ride leaders supporting participants throughout the journey.
New for 2026, event partner Runway Cycling will offer riders the chance to borrow a bike or e-bike for the challenge.
Nik Hart, Head of Fundraising and Engagement for the Harlequins Foundation, added: "It's fantastic to witness so many people unite for this annual challenge, whether they're former players or loyal Quins fans.
"The sense of camaraderie throughout the event is something special. The money raised makes a real difference in our local communities."
