Death of teenager – Richmond Park

The police have revealed the death of a 19-year-old in Richmond Park, which is described as non-suspicious.

Visitors to the park on Monday morning reported police activity and the taping off of an area of trees.

In a statement, the press office for the police's South West Basic Command said: "On Monday 24th January at 07:03 hours, police were called to reports of a deceased male in Richmond Park.

"Police attended and the 19 year old male was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is being treated as non-suspicious.

"Next of kin have been informed."

A number of people have sent their condolences to the family via the Nextdoor platform.
