Grants are being offered to community groups and projects from Twickenham by the Co-op Local Community Fund (LCF).

To qualify for this opportunity you must be a not for profit group and deliver a project to benefit the local community.

The Co-op has published a helpful 'How to apply' guide: https://co-operate.coop.co.uk/how-to/local-community-fund/

The deadline for applications is 12 June.

Information on the criteria for application is available here Who can apply for the Co-op Local Community Fund - Co-op (coop.co.uk).

If you're successful, you'll partner with the Co-op for 12 months. At the same time it will encourage Co-op members to support your project. The more members that shop with Co-op, the more money your project will receive.

Co-op members have raised over £85m for nearly 30,000 local projects since it started the fund in 2016.

If you wish to apply for this grant your cause must fit on or more of the following criteria:

 - bring people together to access food

 - help improve people's mental wellbeing

 - create opportunities for young people to be heard and make a difference

 - help people protect local biodiversity or tackle climate change by reducing carbon emissions

The Co-op wants the fund to be as inclusive as possible and is looking for causes that represent diversity.

When Co-op Members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p for every pound spent goes into their Co-op Membership account and Co-op gives the same to support community organisations and local causes. Co-op Membership helps support Co-op's national charity partners and Local Community Fund causes. See www.coop.co.uk/membership

Co-op Members will continue to help thousands of grassroots community projects through the Local Community Fund by selecting a cause to support.
