Twickenham residents have been informed that filming for a new feature film will be taking place in Twickenham today (18 January).

A letter to residents said: "Milky Way Media are currently in production of a new feature film entitled 'Blood and Ink'".

The letter also said that the filming would take place in the vicinity of The Embankment, Church Lane, Twickenham Riverside, and York House Gardens.

Setting up will take place from midday and filming will take place from 2pm until 11pm.

The letter adds: "We have several exterior scenes to film in the vicinity of the museum on Church Lane beside the period lamp by the church, the cobbles in Church Lane, the walkway by the Thames at Champions Wharf and York Gardens statues."

A road closure will be in place between the bottom end of Flood Lane (not affecting the car park) and the top of the Thames slipway in Church Lane to allow for the production company to work safely on the road.

The letter adds that they will move away from the residential area at around 9pm to continue working in York House Gardens.

The production company will have two cranes - one for lighting and one for the camera.

Their technical vehicles will be parked in the bays adjoining the church and outside Dial House on the Riverside whilst all non essential vehicles will be parked away from the location.

The letter finishes by saying: "At all times we will keep noise to a minimum and make every effort to cause minimal disruption to your usual routine."

If you have any questions you can contact Stefan (location manager) at 07968 072298 or Richmond Council's film office at [email protected].
