Going through a divorce or separation creates enormous financial stress on top of the emotional turmoil.

Expert advice is vital to safely negotiate a separation and reduce the strains that are inevitably created on household finances.

A virtual event 'Surviving Separation' brings together experts who will offer advice on the implications of divorce and separation.

Greenacre Financial Services, who are a sponsor of Nub News, will be taking part alongside Eight Wealth Management, Buchanans Solicitors and Garry Newman Therapy Services.

The topics covered include financial advice; children's matters; mortgage and property planning; family mediation; and the psychological impact of separation.

Greg Stanworth, Managing Director of Greenacre Financial Services, said: "Going through a divorce or separation can be very stressful and emotional.

"It is important to get a clear picture of where you stand financially as you navigate this tricky time to make sure you stay on track of the financial element of any separation.

"We are here to offer advice and guidance where needed and I would recommend that anyone who is going through a divorce or separation join our online event for more information on how we can help."

The virtual event – hosted by Lorraine Sellwood – takes place on Wednesday, February 9, and runs from 4.30pm-7pm.

Alongside presentations, people will be able to take part in one-to-one sessions. All participants can choose to remain anonymous, if they wish.
