Fireaway Pizza is set to relaunch its Whitton restaurant next week following a change of ownership, with free pizzas and special offers lined up to mark the reopening.

The branch, at 75 High Street, Whitton, will reopen on Monday, 9 February under the ownership of experienced chef and hospitality professional Emad Anwar.

The franchise says the relaunch will bring a renewed focus on quality, consistency and customer service.

To celebrate, Fireaway Whitton will be giving away 100 free Margherita pizzas on reopening day. The offer will be available for dine-in and collection orders on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition, customers will be able to buy any pizza for £5 for the first ten days after reopening, from 9 to 19 February. Those who sign up to Fireaway's loyalty scheme on their first visit will also receive a free garlic bread or portion of potato wedges, redeemable in store via a QR code.

Mr Anwar has worked as a chef since the age of 20 after studying hospitality and management. His career includes roles at venues such as the Royal Opera House, OXO Tower, Marriott Hotels, Côte Restaurants and a number of Italian and French kitchens. He is joined at the Whitton restaurant by head chef Amr, who has a similar culinary background.

Speaking about the relaunch, Mr Anwar said: "Many people think pizza is just pizza, but it's so much more than that. For me, pizza is a craft. It's about quality ingredients, technique and care. At Fireaway Whitton, we handle every single pizza with love and attention, because we genuinely care about what we serve."

Fireaway's head of marketing George Whiting said the relaunch was about "raising the bar locally", adding that the new ownership brings "a huge amount of culinary experience and passion" to the Whitton branch.

The restaurant will be open for dine-in, collection and delivery, with orders available through the Fireaway website and app, as well as Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
