Richmond Council's annual Full of Life Fair for older residents and carers is returning this October.

The event will take place at Twickenham Stadium on 13 October from 10am to 4pm, to celebrate active, healthy lifestyles and connect with local services and activities in Richmond Upon Thames.

The free event will showcase more than 60 local stallholders that represent health, care and public services, community and voluntary organisations, national charities, and local businesses.

There will also be a full schedule of activities that support physical and mental health, as well as an all day cafe with free refreshments.

Cllr Piers Allen, Lead Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health and Chair of the Richmond Health and Wellbeing Board, said:

"We're very much looking forward to welcoming our residents back to Twickenham Stadium for another year of celebrations, fun activities and up-to-date, useful information and advice about the vast resources in Richmond upon Thames that exist to support them.

"Our older residents and carers make immeasurable contributions to our borough, and this is our opportunity to provide them with everything they need locally to them to help them live physically active, healthy, happy and independent lives. "

He added: "The Fair is additionally a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people, build local support networks and meet new friends. We want to make sure that any residents who are physically or emotionally isolated get the opportunity to fully benefit from what Full of Life has to offer. I'd also like to ask for your help – if you have a friend, neighbour or carer who would benefit from this event, or any of our Full of Life Fund community events, please do share this information with them.

"We very much hope to see you there for another fantastic day!"

There is also a limited, first come, first served lunch that visitors must pre-register for.

As well as the fair, there will be 40 free community event throughout the month of October.
