Emergency roadworks are taking place on a busy Twickenham road after a gas leak was reported in the carriageway.

Cadent Gas is attending a leak on London Road at the junction with Arragon Road, opposite Waitrose.

Richmond Council issued an emergency roadworks bulletin on Thursday (14 August), warning motorists of the ongoing works.

Traffic is currently being managed using temporary traffic signals while the repairs are carried out.

The works are expected to be completed by Tuesday, 18 August.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys through the area while the emergency works are taking place.
