The Fete held by the Friends of Twickenham Green is back after a three year absence caused by the pandemic.

And it will be bigger than ever due to a collaboration with the High Tide Festival, which will have a music stage on the Green for the first time as one of its 20 venues.

The event on Sunday, July 30, will combine all the fun of a traditional fete, with stalls, food and drink, with a selection of fabulous bands, while any profits will be used to support local charities such as SPEAR and the Trussell Trust food banks in Whitton and Richmond.

The collaboration means the footprint of the High Tide Festival, which has become the biggest event of the summer in Twickenham, attracting thousands of music lovers, will be better than ever.

Los Pistoleros have been called Britain's super-star Americana band and the British (even though two of them are Irish) answer to the Mavericks.

A spokesman for High Tide, which is the brainchild of the team at Eel Pie Record, said: "This will be the first time there has been a stage at Twickenham Green as a part of High Tide, so we're very excited to involve even more of Twickenham and further expand this great day."

The fabulous line-up for the free event on the Twickenham stage has been revealed. And it includes –

The Harvey Baker Band are a much-experienced trio whose love of pop and rock shines through every moment they're on stage.

The Errol Linton band play a reggae-inflected electric blues, which is 'informed by soul and jazz and myriad Jamaican flavours'.

Grace Savage is known for her electrifying and unique live performances as well as her ability to create catchy tunes that hit the sweet spot between left-field artistry and pop songs that resonate with the masses.
