Minimum grants of £1,000 are being offered to community groups and projects from Twickenham by the Co-op Local Community Fund (LCF).

To qualify for this opportunity you must be a not for profit group and deliver a project to benefit the local community.

Information on the criteria for application is available here Who can apply for the Co-op Local Community Fund - Co-op (coop.co.uk)

Co-op members have raised over £85m for nearly 30,000 local projects since it started the fund in 2016.

If you're successful, you'll partner with the Co-op for 12 months. At the same time it will encourage Co-op members to support your project. The more members that shop with Co-op, the more money your project will receive.

If you wish to apply for this grant your cause must fit on or more of the following criteria:

 - bring people together to access food.

 - help improve people's mental wellbeing.

 - create opportunities for young people to be heard and make a difference.

 - help people protect local biodiversity or tackle climate change by reducing carbon emissions

 Your project must also:

 - take place in the UK or Isle of Man.

 - not have religious or political aims (although you can still apply if you're a religious organisation).

 - take place or will still be running after November 2023.

Co-op wants the fund to be as inclusive as possible and is looking for causes that represent diversity.

To help people understand more about the Local Community Fund before they apply, Co-op has created a helpful guide. Check out our 'How to discover more about the Local Community Fund' page on Co-operate, which explains how our fund is different and the range of benefits it provides.

Applications can start to be submitted on the 3rd of May and must have been completed by the 29th.

Co-op Members will continue to help thousands of grassroots community projects through the Local Community Fund by selecting a cause to support. Since 2016 Co-op Members have raised more than £85m for over 30,000 projects.
