Head injury following fall on bus triggers emergency call out and road closure

Ambulances were called after a passenger had a fall on a bus at just after 7.30pm.

Richmond Police said: "Police assisted London Ambulance Service with road closures after a man sustained a head injury following a fall on a bus in Hampton Road, Twickenham at around 19:36hrs on Sunday, 20 March.

"He has been taken to hospital; condition update awaits. The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time."

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

"We were called at 7.18pm on Sunday (20 March) to reports of a person who was injured after falling on a bus in Hampton Road, Twickenham.

"We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene.

"We treated a patient for a head injury and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority."
