Twickenham residents flooded the high street on Friday (24 November) to celebrate the start of the Christmas season.
The event began at Twickenham Green, with Santa giving out presents to the children.
There were also carols being performed by the choir from Twickenham Green Baptist Church.

The events then proceeded to move on to Heath Road, where more carols were sung and the tree at the Mazda Garage was lit.
Indian restaurant Shuili, was giving out free nonalcoholic mulled wine.

Church Street was lined with stalls from the local shops and restaurants, selling homemade Christmas gifts, food and mulled wine.

At the main stage, on the corner of Church Street and King Street, there were performances, including from a brass band.

The main lights on King Street were switched on at 6pm by Cllr Julia Cambridge.
