The award-winning TV series TED LASSO, which has been filmed in Richmond and the surrounding areas over the last three years, may return after the completion of filming Series 3 last month after all, Nub News can reveal.
Nub News has been given a farewell note sent by the key creative team including the star Jason Sudeikis which offers a glimmer of hope that the Apple TV+ show may return as well as thanking everyone involved in the production of the series for their support.
The note, which was distributed to all external providers such as taxi firms, suppliers and hotels, carries the AFC Richmond logo and begins: Dear Greyhounds.
It adds: "There is no letter or gift which can adequately express our gratitude for your work on this show but here goes. It has been our honour to be your teammate. Whether you've been with us since the first take - or you just joined us this year, thank you.
"Our time together may or may not be coming to a close but we hope you'll cherish the memory. We certainly will."
The touching message is signed by Jason, who plays Ted Lasso, Brendan Hunt, who plays Coach Beard, co-creator Joe Kelly, producer Andrew Warren and co-ordinating director Chip Hamilton and the 'folks of Ted Lasso.'
The news comes as the elaborate sets for the series including the team's dressing room and Jason's office of the Hayes-based West London Film Studios are dismantled from Stage 6 and packed up and sent to the US for storage.
Even the smallest props such as notice boards and posted notes have been carefully stored and itemised in case they are needed again for a Series 4 or a movie treatment of the series.
Nub News has taken a glimpse inside the studios where the sets for all three series were built and all the cast treated as their temporary home.
In a signed photograph given to the studio Jason Sudeikis wrote: "Thanks for being our home away from home. We've hidden 40 grand in cash somewhere in the premises. The game is afoot!"
