Man arrested for multiple linked assaults against women in Twickenham

A man has been arrested for a number of linked assaults against women in Twickenham, Richmond Upon Thames Police confirmed today (November 7).

The force said the man was arrested on November 6 following the assaults which took place between November 4 and November 6.

The suspect - who is currently in custody whilst all offences are being investigated by officers from South West BCU Criminal Investigation Department - reportedly targeted three women.

"We fully appreciate the concern within the community that will likely emerge as a result of these offences, but hope that the arrest of the suspect will provide reassurance," the force said.

"Officers are currently not seeking the arrest of any other individuals at this time other than the subject in custody.

"We encourage anyone who has been a victim of similar offences to call 101 quoting crime reference 01/1052877/24. Alternatively, to remain anonymous, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit Crimestoppers-uk.org."
