The Met Police has charged a man with possession of an offensive weapon after being caught with a machete near Crane Park, Twickenham.

Last week Tuesday, 16 July at around 7pm, officers received a call regarding three males being spotted near Feltham High Street carrying a machete.

One of the men, whose name is not confirmed, was arrested and later charged.

The Met Police has told Twickenham Nub News: "On the 16th of July 2024 at 1859 hours police received a call that three males had been seen near Feltham High street in possession of a machete.

"An area search for these three males has been conducted with the help of the police helicopter and armed officers due to the mention of a machete.

"The three males have later been found in Crane Park near to Lincoln Avenue in Feltham and have been arrested by police. One male has since been charged with possession of an offensive weapon."

This comes as the Met issues an E-fit appeal of a man following a road rage incident in Feltham last month.
