Man taken to hospital after 40 firefighters tackle Twickenham blaze

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at an end of terrace house on Lincoln Avenue in Twickenham on Monday (January 20). 

Most of a loft conversion was damaged by the fire.

One man was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service and taken to hospital. 

Control Officers took the first of 11 calls regarding the fire at 6.41pm and mobilised crews from Twickenham, Heston, Feltham and surrounding fire stations to the scene. The fire was under control by 8.14pm. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
