The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Twickenham this week as strong winds are predicted.

The warning - which covers the whole of England - is in place from 9am on Wednesday 1 January until 6am on Thursday.

The Met Office said "very strong winds expected to lead to some disruption".

Meteorologists have warned there there is a "slight chance" of some damage to buildings.

"There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected," the warning added.

It added: "There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage."
