Met Police attend car crash in Whitton as vehicle flips onto side

Met Police had to attend Whitton, Twickenham yesterday (3 February 2025) following a car crash where "luckily" no one got hurt.

Locals on Meadway Road in junction with Chertsey Road, woke up yesterday morning to find a vehicle tilted on its left side following a collision into a bollard.

One eyewitness to the incident said online that the driver came off the A316 "far too fast" and was 'lucky' to not have hurt anyone.

They explained: "I was there when it happened and the driver took it far too fast and luckily no one hurt...

"Children were standing on the other corner luckily was there when it happened and the driver took it far too fast and luckily no one hurt - children were standing on the other corner luckily."

A Met Police spokesperson has told Twickenham Nub News: "On Monday 3rd February 2025 at 0810 hrs, officers were called to a road traffic collision on Meadway Road in junction with Chertsey Road in Whitton TW2, where a vehicle collided with a street sign and bollard.

"No arrests were made and no injuries were caused by this incident."
