A new speaker series titled Conversations No One Else is Having will launch at the ETNA Community Centre in Twickenham tomorrow (6 November), hosted by independent publisher Claret Press.

The series aims to bring together open-minded members of the community for in-person discussions on "pressing issues", with speakers ranging from authors and researchers to ex-marines and environmental organisations.

The opening event, Navigating Digital Storms: Parenting in the Online Age, will see author and TEDx speaker Douglas Kruger lead a discussion exploring parents' fears and hopes for their children growing up in an increasingly digital world.

Later in the month, on Monday, 20 November, former Royal Marine Commando Pen Farthing will share personal insights and stories in a talk on war, animals and truth, reflecting on his experiences rescuing animals and people from conflict zones.

The series will conclude on 28 November with an event featuring eco-thriller author Harry Whitehead and Greenpeace, who will tackle climate anxiety and radical approaches to addressing the ecological crisis in a discussion titled Blowing Up Oil Rigs and Transformative Solutions.

All three Twickenham events will take place at the ETNA Community Centre. For more information or to book, visit entertainingideas.wixsite.com/conversations.
