Pedestrian injured following collision in Twickenham

Police are investigating a collision involving a car and pedestrian near Twickenham rugby stadium on Saturday night.

Initial social media reports suggested the pedestrian may have suffered life threatening injuries, however the police say this is not the case.

A spokesman said: "On Saturday 13th November 2021 at around 2200hrs police were called to Rugby Road, Twickenham reports of a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

"The London Ambulance Service (LAS) also attend and took the injured person to hospital.

"No life threating injuries.

"Roads and Traffic Policing Command are investigating."
