A full application has been submitted to demolish an existing building to make way for new homes and a commercial unit in East Sheen.

Applicant Damian Aziz put forward plans to Richmond Council to build five apartments, three houses and a commercial unit in Grosvenor Avenue, East Sheen.

The proposed development is split into two elements. Houses on plots one to three are accessed from Grosvenor Avenue whilst the commercial unit and residential apartments one to five, are to be accessed off Fitzgerald Avenue.

For houses on plots one to three, Aziz proposes to build each home with two storeys, roof accommodation, garden, cycle store and one parking space each.

For apartments one to five, proposals show three, one-bedrooms; two, two-bedrooms flat; balconies to each apartment on the first and second floor; and a garden for the ground floor apartment.

Currently the application is being consulted on by neighbours and residents with so far only one objection to Aziz's proposals.

The objector mentions lack of parking, the design, other major developments already taking place in the vicinity amongst other factors as to why they are against the application.

They explain: "Access to the site will create major disruption and endanger current residents.

"There is no need for so many dwellings, especially with large developments taking place in close proximity.

"Drawings of the development look ugly. This will affect the quality of the neighbourhood and have a negative affect on house prices."
