An application has been put forward to temporarily use the arches under the train tracks on Heath Road, Twickenham, as a shop.
Tierney Architects Limited has submitted plans to install woodworking machines to make windows and doors at the arches so that it could trade for 10 years.
In the planning documents, Tierney Architects said: "The proposed use of the site is a joinery workshop with woodworking machines to make traditional windows and doors and has the potential to generate a moderate level of noise when in operation.

"However, the proposed hours of operation will be (Mon to Fri 8:00–17:00 and Sat 8:00–13:00).
"There will be only two people working in the property. It is also worth noting that the use of machinery will be intermittent."
According to the applicants, the site is vacant, although Twickenham Joinery operates from Arch 12.
The arches sit near the junction with Colne Road, adjacent to the A305 rail bridge under the railway line.
