Police arrest a wanted man in Whitton

A wanted man has been arrested in Whitton by Richmond Met Officers.
In the early hours of 25 April, Richmond police officers successfully arrested a wanted male in Whitton, preventing potential further crime in the area.
PCs Matt Holding and Yasmin Bryan from Response Team C were patrolling Hanworth Road in an unmarked vehicle when they spotted a man they recognised as being wanted on a recall to prison.
The officers, with the help of their colleagues, detained the individual.
A subsequent search revealed items in his possession commonly associated with criminal activities.
As a result, the man was arrested for possession of these items in addition to his initial recall.
Via X (formerly Twitter), Richmond officers said: "Thanks to the swift action of the officers, a wanted offender is currently in custody thus preventing our community from being the victim of further offences."
