The North Richmond police are to hold a street briefing with worried residents on Saturday to tackle a rise in antisocial behaviour (ASB).

The meeting will take place at 10am at the Raleigh Road Recreation Ground, which sits between the A316 and Kew Road.

Richmond borough has the highest level of underage drinking in London, according to official figures, which feeds through to antisocial behaviour on streets and green spaces.

The Raleigh Road Recreation Ground, like other parks in the borough, is covered by a Public Space Protection Order and associated byelaws, which carry fines for those involved.

In theory, these outlaw ASB, nuisance and drinking, however this relies on enforcement from the police or council officials and residents would like to see more patrols.

The police said: "Due to reports of Anti-Social Behaviour around Braddon Road, we will be holding a street briefing at Raleigh Road Recreation Ground, Windham Road on 25/03/2023 between 1000-1100. Please come and speak to your local team and we can work together tackling the ASB!"
