Located on King Street, a classic English telephone box has been given a colorful new lease of life offering something unique for residents to enjoy.

Local florist, Anna Cieslak, 35, set up the business last week, bringing fresh flowers, plants and gifts to the heart of Twickenham, with residents flocking to support her.

Anna, who has dreamed of owning her own flower shop, said she chose Twickenham because she felt it was the perfect place to introduce her idea and to build a loyal customer base.

Perched in front of the ongoing Twickenham Riverside redevelopment, the flower stall offers those passing by a splash of beauty and colour amid the building works.

Anna is pleased with the positive response she has been receiving and the kindness of the community, who watch over the stall whilst she goes to grab a drink.

The response from residents has been very positive, Anna said: "I already have a customer who is coming regularly to get their flowers.

"And a man even cycled from Richmond to buy flowers for his wife, after seeing my Instagram posts."

Anna travels to Covent Garden every two days to carefully select flowers and arrange them for her stall.

She offers a range of flowers with different prices and says she is happy to lower prices later in the day: "I don't want them to die before people get a chance to enjoy them."

Alongside bouquets, there are mugs, plants and other small gifts on offer, creating a market-style atmosphere for the high street.

She is there seven days a week and currently opens from around 10am, with closing times varying depending on how busy the stall gets.

Anna is hopeful that her pop-up in the telephone box is just the beginning and hopes to open a permanent flower shop in Twickenham.
