Sam Kerr appears in court charged with alleged racially aggravated harassment during incident in Twickenham
The Matildas and Chelsea superstar Sam Kerr appeared in Kingston Crown Court on Tuesday, 13 January, charged with alleged racially aggravated harassment of a police officer.
The Australian striker attended the hearing wearing a black coat and a white jumper, according to The Guardian.
Kerr, 31, was charged with causing a police officer harassment, alarm or distress under section 4A of the Public Order Act during an incident in Twickenham on 30 January 2023.
She pleaded not guilty at Kingston crown court in March last year.
Kerr's trial is scheduled to take place on 3 February.
She has not played for more than 12 months after suffering a serious knee injury last January.
But she has been stepping up her recovery and joined her club teammates on their mid-season training camp in Portugal this month.
