Children from Babyballet Twickenham, Richmond and Kingston upon Thames took to the stage for their very first full-scale show – in what organisers have described as a "magical" milestone.

Around 50 children aged three to six performed at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance on Sunday 29 March, in a special collaboration with Babyballet Wimbledon.

The production, which took six months to plan, featured full costumes, professional lighting and an adult cast supporting the young dancers.

The show followed a magical adventure storyline, with beloved Babyballet characters including Twinkle and Teddy, alongside Flutterstar the Fairy and friends.

For many of the children, it was their first time performing on stage, making the experience even more memorable.

The theatre welcomed an audience of up to 190 people, with proud families watching the young performers take centre stage.

Parents were full of praise following the show, with feedback including that the show was "special" and "incredibly well orchestrated".

One parent also said: "Such an amazing show… all the children were amazing!"

Dance teacher Danielle Matsell, also known as Miss Danielle, said the performance was a proud moment for everyone involved.

She commented: "I am incredibly proud of every single one of our performers, they danced so beautifully.

"I hope they and their families have memories they can hold on to for the rest of their lives.

"Giving children these magical moments is exactly why we do it."

Babyballet Twickenham, Richmond and Kingston upon Thames offers classes for young children, helping them build confidence, coordination and a love of dance in a fun and supportive environment.
