By Cesar Medina 20th Aug 2026
Radnor House School follows up outstanding A Level results with historic GCSE grades.
As with the A Level results, today's (Thursday, 20 August) GCSE grades represent record achievement for the fourth consecutive year.
One in three grades (31%) were awarded the top mark of 9, up 10% on last year, with over half of all grades awarded a 9-8 (A**/A*).

Commenting on the results, Head, Stephen Carrington, said: "We are delighted for our pupils and their outstanding achievement.
"With three quarters of all grades awarded 9-7, and an average GCSE grade of 7.37, up from 7.15 last year, our pupils should be very proud with what their hard work and perseverance has achieved.
"These results are a reflection of our core ethos, where outstanding academic outcomes are achieved through a supportive and inclusive approach, underpinned by lived values and excellent teaching.
"Our pupils can look forward to the next step in their educational journey with great confidence, not just because of their academic success realised here today, but because of the well-rounded, conscientious young adults they have become."
