Kew Green Nursery rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted as children 'thrive' and 'make exceptional progress'

Children at a Kew nursery "thrive" and "make exceptional progress", according to a recent Ofsted Report.
Kew Green Nursery (KGN) has received an 'outstanding' rating following a recent inspection by the education watchdog.
The Nursery, part of Kew Green Preparatory School, was praised for its support of children's thinking skills and the positive learning environment it provides.
"Children thrive at this nursery," the Ofsted report said. "Staff demonstrate an exceptional understanding of how to support children's thinking skills.
"They create an environment rich in stories. This instils in children a love of books.
"Staff encourage children to think deeply about characters...Children are highly driven and curious learners."

KGN is part of Kew Green Prep School, which has been educating children in the area for over 20 years and is part of the Gardener Schools Group.
The inspection report noted that KGN ensures pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make "excellent progress".
In addition it outlined that Leaders create learning opportunities that deepen children's understanding of concepts and ideas at KGN.
"Children are engrossed in their learning. They concentrate and focus at exceptionally high levels," Ofsted continued.
"Children learn a wealth of knowledge through meticulously planned activities that capture a wide range of skills.
"Staff work extremely closely with parents and carers to ensure that children's learning continues uninterrupted at home. All children make exceptional progress in their learning."

Following the publication of the report, Head of Kew Green Preparatory School and Kew Green Nursery, Sasha Davies, told Richmond Nub News: "I am delighted that our Nursery has been awarded an 'outstanding' grading by Ofsted.
