1. Diwali Celebrations - Namaste Village Twickenham

Celebrate Diwali at Namaste Village Twickenham this weekend with a special buffet and thali (credit: Image supplied).

About: Namaste Village Twickenham is set to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with a series of special menus and events running through all of this weekend and Monday.

In a special move for the occasion, Namaste Village will also be open on Monday, 20 October from 5pm to 9pm, despite usually closing on Mondays, so that guests can celebrate Diwali with them.

When: 

  • Thursday 16 – Saturday 18 October: Special Diwali Thali at £22.95 per person
  • Sunday 19 & Monday 20 October: Diwali Buffet Feast at £21.95 per person, marking Diwali Day itself on Monday

2. Diwali Celebrations in Twickenham

About: Twickenham businesses invite residents to join in the Diwali Festival event in the town centre on Sunday, 19 October starting at 12 noon.

3. Live Sport - The Turk's Head

Head down to the Turk's Head this weekend for all the sports action (credit: Cesar Medina).

About: The Turk's Head shows all the sports coverage from the biggest games of the weekend, so stop by so you don't miss a thing!

Tomorrow (Friday, 17 October) there will be Premiership Rugby action with fixtures between Gloucester Rugby vs Bristol Bears and Newcastle Red Bulls vs Northampton Saints at 7:45pm.

On Saturday, 18 October watch the London derby between Fulham and Arsenal in the Premier League at 5:30pm.

Sunday, 19 October sees Harlequins face off against Exeter Chiefs at 3pm, followed by Liverpool and Man United at 4:30pm.

4. Twickenham Repair Cafe

About: Bring the group something to repair, eat homemade cake, drink good coffee, chat and have joy.

5. Twickenham Art Exhibition - OpenSpaces Global Art Trail

About: For one whole month, artists from all over the world will be transforming everyday places into unexpected art experiences – think shop windows, cafes, libraries, parks, and more. Art is truly everywhere.
