1. Classic Album playback- Eel Pie Records Thursday Social

Head down to Eel Pie Records tonight to listen to Echo & The Bunnymen's' OCEAN RAIN and Life's Rich Pageant from R.E.M. (credit: Eel Pie Records).

2. Red Speedo - The Orange Tree

Head down to the Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond to watch Red Speedo this weekend (credit: Johan Persson).

About: Written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Matthew Dunster. Ray lives to swim. He is within touching distance of Olympic glory and a life-changing sponsorship deal.

But everything changes when performance-enhancing drugs are discovered in the club's refrigerator.

As tensions run high, Ray's brother wants them destroyed, his coach wants to call the authorities, his ex-girlfriend doesn't want to know, and Ray wants the drugs back.

3. Bearcat Running Club - The Turk's Head

The Turk's Head, Twickenham host a running club every Sunday morning (credit: The Turk's Head).

About: Founded in 2012 by Caitlin Limmer The Bearcat Running Club meets inside the Turks Head Pub at 8.30am and is under the umbrella of Run England.

The ethos of the club is "the people come first, the running comes a very close second".

It is a hugely supportive group of on average 70-90 runners who meet up and run in seven different ability groups every Sunday with a UKA Leader in Running Fitness in each group.

4. Indian Independence Day - Namaste Village Twickenham.

Vegetarian and vegan restaurant Namaste Village Twickenham will be celebrating India's independence day on Thursday, 15 August (credit: Namaste Village).

About: Join Namaste Village Twickenham on 15 August as it celebrates India's Independence Day right here in the UK.

The restaurant says: "We'll together raise the Indian flag and sing to the tunes of the national anthem, followed by a chance to meet and mingle with fellow Indian expats from around the city over free refreshments, chai, and some light snacks."
