The Turk's Head in St Margarets, Twickenham has given its function room a new look and it is now open for everything from weddings and birthday parties to business meetings.

The local pub completed a refurbishment of its Winchester Room back in January, transforming the once comedy-focused venue into a versatile space fit for a wide range of events.

Speaking to Twickenham Nub News, General Manager Dafydd Thomas said: "The space was looking a bit tired and we wanted to make it more multi-purpose, so we revamped it.

"The space has been renovated fantastically. It now lends itself to a greater variety of functions such as Birthdays, Weddings, Wakes.

"It really is a beautiful blank canvas ready to be made your own."

Now boasting capacity for up to 200 guests, the Winchester Room is fully self-contained with a private entrance and its own bar, offering flexibility for hosts to make the space their own.

For seated events, the space can comfortably accommodate 120 guests.

As well as social functions, the room is also equipped to handle professional events, with conference facilities available for business meetings and seminars.

Up to 80 delegates can be seated for presentations, training sessions or networking events.

In addition, The Turk's Head is also planning an upgrade to its garden space this summer, just in time for residents to enjoy alfresco drinks and dining.
