The Lensbury to open May Half Term watersports courses to local children
By Tilly O'Brien 6th May 2026
Watersports season at The Lensbury has officially started and the hotel is inviting local children to take to the Thames with its May Half Term camps and activities, suited for complete beginners and kids looking to improve their skills.
Over the course of a single day to four days, kids aged between eight and 16 can try out a variety of sports with The Lensbury's 'fun week' or master sailing and paddling with ease in its watersports centre.
The courses will run from Monday, 25 May - Friday, 29 May, and range from £136 - £240 for members and £170 - £300 for non-members, dependent on which session your child chooses.

The Lensbury is also inviting kids aged between eight and 16 to join its sailing and paddlesport clubs throughout spring and summer.
Both clubs are for The Lensbury's junior members and non-members to go and practice their skills learnt on its courses and to have fun on the water.
The club is run by The Lensbury's instructors and is there for kids to practice their skills and have fun.
The club costs £11 for members and £13.75 for non-members.
All that is required is that the junior has completed the RYA sailing stage 1 course or the paddlesport beginners course.
The Lensbury's Watersports Centre is open Monday through Sunday from 9.30am - 6pm.
To book your place, contact the Watersports Centre at [email protected] or call 020 8614 6554.
The Lensbury is a lovely sponsor of Nub News.
Without their community-minded sponsorship, we wouldn't be able to bring you local news free from overly-intrusive ads, pop-ups and clickbait.
