The Lensbury has unveiled a reimagined duo of food and beverage destinations alongside the first phase of a guestroom refurbishment programme, marking a new chapter for the Thames-side resort.

Part of the Iconic Hotels & Resorts portfolio, the Teddington venue, historic home to elite athletic training, has launched The Riverside, a new all-day dining destination, alongside the Sports Bar at The Lensbury.

Across the rooms and public spaces, the refreshed design reflects The Lensbury's sporting legacy, which dates back to its founding on the banks of the Thames in 1920.

A palette of terracotta, greens, navy, and warm neutrals flows throughout, with subtle references including quilted textures inspired by cricket pads and pleated lighting recalling traditional tennis whites.

The Riverside & Sports Bar

Set along the water's edge, The Riverside features a light-filled conservatory complemented by views of the river.

The menu focuses on modern British fare warmed by Mediterranean flavours and built around British produce, offering all-day dining, dedicated Sunday Roasts, and a children's menu.

Meanwhile, the Sports Bar at The Lensbury offers a dedicated space for live sport, drawing on the resort's history of hosting athletes and international squads for over a century.

Anchored by one of the largest screens in the area, the venue will screen major fixtures across football, rugby, cricket, and tennis, accompanied by an elevated matchday bar menu and a surrounding lounge.

Both new spaces join the existing Dunbar Members' Lounge, which continues to offer a quieter retreat for members.

Reimagined Rooms

The first phase of the accommodation refurbishment introduces redesigned Clubhouse Double, Clubhouse King, Deluxe Double, and Deluxe King room categories, bringing a softer, residential feel to the resort's overnight stay options.

Managing Director of The Lensbury, Claire Llewellin-Davis, said: "This refurbishment marks an exciting evolution for The Lensbury, with our new food and beverage spaces playing a central role in how we bring our community together.

"Designed to be both welcoming and versatile, they offer something for everyone; from members and guests enjoying relaxed, Thames-side dining, to teams and elite athletes seeking high-quality, nourishing environments to fuel performance and recovery.

"These spaces reflect our ongoing commitment to creating a 'home from home' that feels elevated yet familiar to locals and guests."

Rooms at The Lensbury begin from £159 per night on a room-only basis. For more information The Lensbury's website here.
