Plenty of treats are planned for Halloween this year with major events on Richmond Riverside.

The new public entertainment space on Whittaker Avenue will be beautifully decorated to capture the Halloween and Autumnal spirit of Richmond.

On Friday evening – October 28 - grab your best dancing shoes and 'get your spook on' as Andrew Cuerden, a professional dancer from the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, hosts a dance event.

The Strictly inspired community soiree invites participants to embrace the Halloween spirit by dressing up in their spookiest outfits.

Bookings for the free event are available via this link - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/be-strictly-spooktacular-tickets-430912690457

And on Saturday – October 29 – from noon, the new stage and public space on Whittaker Avenue, at the top of the terrace on Richmond Riverside, will host a family-friendly event with a give-away of free pumpkins.

You can choose your favourite pumpkin and create the best masterpiece with guided help from the craft leaders. Whether you are competing with your family and friends or designing one to sit by your house, the pumpkin patch is where you need to be this Halloween.

To top all this off there will be a free face painter for the children and families to create your favourite look, whether you want to be a butterfly, princess or a spooky monster.

The Halloween events are being organised by Be Richmond, which is the collection of local businesses who have made it their mission to improve and promote the town centre.

It represents over 330 businesses which is building the town's reputation as a great place to live, work and explore.
