The award-winning TV comedy series Ted Lasso set up camp on Richmond Green today as part of the continued filming of Series 3 attracting hundreds of fans chasing selfies with the stars of the show, including Ted, played by American actor, Jason Sudeikis and his sidekick Coach Beard played by Brendan Hunt.

At the end of the filming tough guy midfield Roy Kent, played by Brett Goldstein and his co-writer Brendan enjoyed a pint and lunch at the Prince's Head pub on the Green which has become a tourist attraction in itself as it is transformed into the Crown & Anchor for the series.

The Apple TV+ show is about a US football coach, Ted Lasso, who moves to England to manage AFC Richmond and is expected to fail but his inspirational leadership and charisma lifts the team and drives them to success.

Earlier in the day Jason supervised the filming of former AFC Richmond assistant coach Nate, played by Nick Mohammed, who defected to join West Ham and was snapped today wearing a personalised Hammers jacket and driving a flashy silver Aston Martin.

Roy Kent was also seen putting striker Jamie Tartt ( played by Phil Dunster) through his paces on a park bench ordering him to do press ups and star jumps as he casually tucked into a bacon sandwich and Jamie threw up after the strenuous route, which was filmed at least six times.

The storylines for Series 3 are under wraps but actress Ellie Taylor, who plays Sassy and had a one night fling with Ted, was filmed walking away from his fictional front door in Paved Court earlier in the day.

It is still hoped that the series, which has a cult following in the US, will air later this year.
