The monthly vigil to highlight and challenge violence against women and girls is being held this evening on Twickenham Green.
The 15 minute vigil, which begins at 6pm at the Amélie Delagrange bench, is organised by the Women's Equality Party, Richmond.
Amélie was a French tourist visiting Twickenham in 2004 when she was murdered by a serial killer.
A spokesperson said: "It is out 12th vigil this Monday to remember all those women murdered just because they are women.
"We will hold these vigils at the Amelie Delagrange bench, Twickenham Green every first Monday of the month until it stops. Behaviours need to change.
"This social epidemic goes on unchecked. Think of the families and friends who won't have a mother, sister, daughter with them."
Richmond Borough Council is accredited by White Ribbon, which is a global campaign that encourages people - especially men and boys - to act and change the behaviour and culture that leads to abuse and violence.
