A much-loved Twickenham beauty salon has announced it will close its doors after 24 years in business.

Blush Beauty on Richmond Road announced on Sunday, 20 April that it would be "closing its doors Saturday, 26 April" due to "the current economic climate".

In a statement via Instagram, Blush Beauty, said: "To all our wonderful clients, it's with heavy hearts that we share the news that Blush will be closing its doors on Saturday, 26th April.

"For the past 24 years, it has been our absolute pleasure to look after you and help you feel your most fabulous.

"We've cherished every moment and every connection made along the way.

"Unfortunately, due to the current economic climate, we've had to make the difficult decision to close.

"We will miss you all deeply and want to thank you for your loyalty, love, and support over the years. It truly has been an incredible journey.

"With all our love and the biggest hugs, Adele, Caroline, Charlotte, Lily, and all the amazing girls who've been part of Blush through the years."

The news has left long-time clients saddened, with many sharing fond memories and tributes in the comments.

One customer, @jojo_runs, wrote: "So sad! I have absolutely loved Blush being at the end of my road, the girls have always been amazing and it really has had the most lovely community feel.

"Many a good chat - alongside fabulous nails / tans / waxes etc - has been had in your salon! Will miss you so much, hope you all go on to wonderful things xx."

Another, @kazzat23, shared: "ladies, what are we going to do without you?!

"You've been my go-to salon since moving here 17 years ago; lots of fun, stories and laughter, and yes, the odd tear!…& I shall never forget having my legs waxed whilst in labour!

"You are all very special people who have taken the time to get to know all your clients, all our foibles, and just how long our treatments will take depending on our level of chattiness! (classic 3hrs with you last weekend ladies! Love it!)
