Traffic between Twickenham and Richmond faces days of jams.

A burst water main means York Street, Twickenham, is closed to eastbound traffic heading towards Richmond.

Thames Water is carrying out emergency repairs, however this work is not due to be completed until Friday.

Richmond Council said: "York Street is now closed to all eastbound traffic due to Thames Water attending an urgent burst water main, a diversion route is in place.

"Westbound traffic from Richmond heading towards Twickenham is unaffected. Both bus stops on York Street will be suspended for the duration of the works."
