Local business The Hare and The Moon has proudly adopted a tree on Twickenham Green as part of a community initiative to keep the area green and thriving during the warmer months.

The team is supporting the Friends of Twickenham Green by helping to care for one of the trees—regularly watering it to ensure it stays healthy, even when the British weather seems to be doing its bit.

"Funnily enough, it's raining as we post this," it said, "but that's not always enough to keep our leafy friends happy."

Staff take turns each week to give their adopted tree a thorough watering using a can.

The tree can be found next to Liv's Telecafe—a perfect spot to stop by for a coffee and admire the latest addition to the Green.
