Skylarks Charity in Twickenham is inviting people to join their November fundraising firewalk in Hounslow.

This unique event, which takes place on 16 November, is a fantastic challenge while making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with additional needs in the local community.

The independent charity relies on donations and fundraising to exist and this event is aiming to raise funds which will go directly towards making a real difference to people who depend on Skylarks support.

Skylarks deliver weekly activities and therapeutic services for young people with additional needs, along with resources, workshops, benefits advice and peer support for parents and carers.

Firewalking is an ancient tradition and a powerful rite of passage in many cultures. Participants will walk barefoot over coals reaching up to 550 degrees Celsius, but with a thorough 90-minute training session, they'll feel confident and inspired.

This event is led by Chris Jones, a certified firewalking instructor and filmmaker currently working on Mission: Impossible 8.

Although how it may sound, the experience is safe and guided by Chris, who has taken thousands through this seemingly impossible challenge.

Aaron Guiver, Managing Director at Skylarks, highlighted the importance of the event: "Our services at Skylarks Charity are often described as life-changing and the firewalk is no exception.

"Whether you're seeking a personal challenge, a bonding experience with friends, or an exciting team-building event, our Skylarks Firewalk presents a unique opportunity to push your limits while making a meaningful impact.

"For many, walking over hot coals is a bucket list experience and every step taken during the Firewalk directly supports vital services for children and young people with additional needs.

"We are incredibly grateful for those who donate to our charity, helping us to make a difference and create possibilities."

For over 18 years, Skylarks Charity has empowered young people through activities and support, benefiting thousands of families with children who have additional needs and disabilities.
